mic.so is a personal voice journal — not a social network. Your entries are yours. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Account info — email address and authentication credentials when you sign up.
• Voice entries — audio recordings you submit, plus transcripts and AI-generated analysis (emotions, themes, summaries).
• Usage data — basic analytics to understand how the product is used and fix issues.

How we use your data

• Transcribe and analyze your journal entries
• Store entries so you can review them later
• Send weekly summary emails if you opt in
• Operate, secure, and improve mic.so

We do not sell your journal content. We do not use your entries to train public AI models.

Third-party services

mic uses trusted providers to run the product — including hosting, database storage, audio storage, transcription, and email delivery. These services process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.

Demo recordings

You can try mic on the homepage without an account. Demo recordings are processed temporarily to show analysis. If you sign up after a demo, you can save that recording as your first entry.

Your choices

• Export a zip of your recordings and transcripts anytime from account settings
• Delete individual entries — we purge audio via a deletion queue until storage confirms removal
• Delete your account and associated data

Security

Entries are tied to your account and transmitted over HTTPS. Treat mic like a private diary — avoid recording information you would not want stored digitally.
